The once crumbling barn that has been brought back to life .

The old stone farm buildings at Bodowyr Uchaf, between the villages of Llangaffo and Brynsiencyn on Anglesey, had been empty for over 50 years. Ivy, brambles and sycamore trees were hiding what turned out to be spectacular views over rolling farmland, giving way to the stunning vista of the Snowdonia mountains beyond.

The Outbuildings were comprehensively and tastefully restored, furnished and opened for business in 2010. Initially operating as a bed & breakfast, they have now been converted into a dream holiday home, following renovation updates in 2020.

Meet Millie & Jack

The Outbuildings are owned and run by Jack and Millie Matthews. Millie has been involved with hospitality since her earliest years and has extensive experience in event management and weddings organisation. Jack, too, comes from a background that combined farming with running a self-catering business; a very practical man, he can often be found cutting the grass, picking the vegetables and ensuring the grounds are kept to a high standard. Should you have any issues during your stay, Millie and Jack live just across the yard.
